The same… Different!
Because we have to and especially because can. Because we have experience and new ideas, feelings and conscience. But first of all because we have a country with people and places that we think we know almost everything about, but we don’t cease to be surprised a little bit more every day. For all this, we decided to roll out a new concept today. We could say a tourist concept, but we won’t. Because it’s more than that. This concept is a manifesto. A manifesto against the paths travelled so often and that often carry us through the places where others were before us. These paths travelled by our tendency to imitate what we hear or see in others have made it possible to hear Romanian spoken in Bulgaria or Greece at every step, while our villages where eternity was born or even our cities and towns waste the beauty and warmth of the soul of the inhabitants.
A manifesto against the classicism of hotel tourism, all-inclusive, transport included, “departure will take place at…”, “howdy, ma’am, would you happen to have a room with a view…”, meal vouchers or ridiculous bracelets that allow us to drink and eat, “I ate so much that I couldn’t get out of bed for three days” A manifesto against so many stereotypes that become annoying especially through their increasingly cold relationship with the truth: “it’s different there”, “abroad (well what do you know) it’s so clean you could eat off the floor”, “Sure ain't no one like us!” “It’s cheaper with them than with us”, and others that are not worth mentioning because they are vulgar and in bad taste.
Now, a century after the Great Union, we are more aware than ever that it is in our power to succeed. And, to use big words, “by ourselves”! Because big words are big precisely because they must be said.
